A top of the line bowl!
This wooden bowl is the most organic design produced by John McLeod Ltd. of
Wilmington, Vermont. Crafted from South American Mahogany this
bowl stands high at 7" tall and is 12" in diameter. The top
edge is cut obliquely and a scallop is introduced in which to
rest a set of salad servers. The scallop is optional and we
will omit it as a special request. To get the size of block
required to make this bowl 3 or 4 large pieces of Mahogany,
which are meticulously jointed and glued are utilized. This
is what you'd call a Masterpiece Bowl, and could take
its place in any exhibition. The rich color quality of the
Mahogany shows in all its glory as the grain changes from
edge to end. Sealed with the Vermont Bowl Company's special
finish the simple care which this bowl requires is a light
hand washing and thorough drying.
