Remniscent of the past
None of John McLeod's wooden bowls are ordinary, but this
bowl makes others seem so. Why? Because this bowl conjures thoughts of
years past, when the kitchen table was made of wood, not metal and plastic,
when perhaps the kitchen table had benches instead of chairs, and
when the table centerpiece was a large, handmade wooden bowl!
When designing the Vermont Farmhouse Bowl, John McLeod had an image of
it filled with hot rolls sitting on a farmhouse kitchen table.
Of course it looks just as good with salad or fruit.
