Natural Edge Board
When going through some Bird's Eye Maple we had stored
away for many years the interesting colorations and character
defects spoke to us, so we decided that rather than cut them
out and square everything away we could produce a natural
board epitomizing the natural spirit of the Vermont woods.
We enhance the waney edges, sand to a fine finish to fully
develop the lustre, put in a handy hanging hole, hand rub
our special finish and let the wood do the talking. They
are all random sizes, but all are approximately 15" x 7"
and are 3/4" thick. Cut or serve, these Vermonters can
take it.
Available in Bird's Eye Maple with Old Home Week brand as a tribute to
Wilmington Vermont's Old Home Week,
August 12-15, 2010. Held every 10 years, the event is best described as a town
reunion, a celebration of Wilmington's citizens, past, present
and future, and an honoring of the town's history.
