Single & Double Tier Cakestands

Of course you can put the cake on a plate and put it on the table but if you really want to make everyrhing just that little bit special then the Cakestand is the answer. It elevates the cake or other serving and gives it an importance which it deserves. As a table centerpiece it is a gathering place for all the necessities for good eating. As a server for petit fours or such like it is outstanding. The Single has a plate diameter of 14-1/2" and with the turned base stand is 6" high.

The Double Tier Cakestands have an additional plate of 12" diameter 5-1/2" above the lower plate. The finish allows you to put the cake right on to the wood if you so desire. Afternoon tea was the done thing when I was growing up in Scotland and the Double Cakestand is the unit of choice for this ritual. Cake on top, selection of biscuits around the lower level and remember to stick your pinky out as you drink your tea!!! Maybe we'll make a Tea Caddy for your Darjeeling. In Yellow Birch with our special handrubbed finish. We do make a Triple Cakestand to special order.
