Our Bookstand is made to be as multi-functional as possible. The back supporting board fits in to its own dedicated slot in the large area base. The crystal clear retaining slide fits snugly in any one of four slots which allows for the secure support of thick to thin, wide to narrow, short or tall books and even papers as shown in our photographs. Your recipes and paperwork are important so we have made our bookstand to match. Not for you something that looks like the cheapest way of doing a poor job. This stand is crafted from Vermont Cherry with a Black Walnut front trim allowing it to serve with grace in the kitchen or even on the boardroom table. A perfect gift for the busy exec! No problem with storage. It can slip into a drawer or on to a shelf because it packs down so flat when not in use (see image below). The base is 16" long and 7" wide and 3/4" thick
