Beehive Wooden Bowl
Inspired by the age old woven basket style of beehive known as a "skep" this design by
John McLeod
is at the end of a design spectrum starting with the "Bauhaus" styling (a characteristic of a 20th-century school of design)
of our T1 Bowl
and Euro Bowl.
The comfortable contouring of the basket pattern evokes memories of gardens of yore
where "skeps" would be
strategically positioned to house the bees desired not only for their honey but also for
their important pollination of blossoms, flowers, fruits and vegetables.
Easily handled and interesting to the eye makes the Beehive Bowl an
innovative and complementary addition to our wide selection of
wooden bowls
which we proudly make right here in Wilmington, Vermont USA.

We thought you might like to see a real skep, our inspirational
source. This is a photograph of a skep with its thatch cover
which was on display in the Jane Seymour (one of Henry the
VIII wives) Garden at Hampton Court Flower Show in England.
